All in all we think that the midterm turned out pretty well. We definitely had some issues with our film largely in the post processing area. We used multiple different cameras and sources to record our film from, and due to that the audio balancing was not as good as it could have been. We also had some issues with continuity of the piece. In order to better build a sense of dread and suspense for our film in the short amount of time that was allotted to use we decided that it would be best if we excluded to use of dialogue. This would help to add to the unnerving atmosphere we were trying to create and to allow us to pack as much visual story telling into the short two minutes that we have to convey our film. Due to this, our script is entirely stage directions.

Our film will follow a chronological series of events so that we can easily convey our message without having to be concerned about whether or not the audience will be able to understand and follow along with the series of events. This allows us to spend more time focusing to create a cohesive plot rather than being concerned with how we will convey it. Due to this, we plan to build an ever growing sense of suspense and anticipation up until the very end of the film, and these events in the story board help us to achieve that.

Each filming session started at approximately 11 am and lasted till around 1 pm. Some filming days have taken longer as we have wanted to try and get some extra pieces done while everyone was together. So far there haven't been any delays as the extras are fully covered and that lets us film as long as we have Dan and Zach as the main protagonist and antagonist. Editing and all other production processes we did when the group members had time to do them, whenever that happened to be. We decided to look for a wooded area near us that we could use to film at for our film. It was also decided that we would need a location where we could be relatively isolated from other people so we wouldn't have to be worried about them appearing in the background We decided to look at a total of four different locations that we figured could fit this criteria, Redbug, Urfer, Arlington, and Rothenbach park. Rothenbach Arlington Urfer Redbug We ultimately decided to use redbug park, as it had some of the most useful scenery for our setting and was one of the most accessible parks for everyone in our team, making it the easy choice to pick.

Low angle - we will include a low angle shot of Dan's foot shortly after the opening credits and a sound bridge in order to both jar the audience and create a sense of mystery as to why Dan is running into the distance of the shot Insert Shot - we will use an insert shot of a grenade in an extras hand in order to convey the message that Dan is being hunted by unknown assailants and that they are pinning him in with the use of toxic gas. This will also help to convey why the extras costumes include gas masks. Aerial Shot - we will include two aerial shots of the woods in which Dan is trapped in. We will edit in a ring of smoke on both occasions, which will convey to the audience that Dan is trapped and cannot escape. The second shot will have the gas completely encompassing the woods. Zachary Groome - We chose to use Zach as the main antagonist largely due to his physical appearance.  He is six foot six inches tall and has a lanky body type. When we dressed him up in the costume for our film he was both intimidating and unsettling, which was the exact look we wanted for our main antagonist. We believe that by casting him we can help to add a suspenseful and unsettling atmosphere. Daniel McCarthy - We chose to use Dan as the main actor for two main reasons. The first reason is due to the fact that he was a member of our group, making him obligated to film so we could reliably use him to act instead of having to convince him each time. Additionally Dan has a sizable beard, which helps him to stand out from the extras and would detract from the extras costumes. Gabriel Vasquez - We chose to use Gabe as an extra because he was part of the team. Because of this he was able to reliably be called upon to shoot and to reshoot if need be.
